On the vast plains of Rwanda, the origin of our Twongere Kawa Coko, when day breaks, a creature half man and half hyena starts roaming the land.
The Werehyena is often portrayed as a magically powerful healer, blacksmith, or woodcutter in its human form, but recognizable through signs like a hairy body, red and gleaming eyes and a nasal voice. It is said that it uses coffee as a tonic and Twongere Kawa Coko is among its favorites.
